Steplift Ltd. Was incorporated on the 5th July 2002. Bernard who
had a courier business before then, tells the story of why he started
Steplift Ltd:
I often had to move large and heavy loads up flights of stairs
for clients, often without help. This became an issue one day when
I was asked to move a vending machine up 3 flights of stairs. This
task was daunting and I was aware that there was a high risk of
injury, should the load topple.
Out of curiosity, I began to do some research on the available
products in the marketplace to assist with the lifting of heavy
loads up multiple flights of stairs.
Seeing the obvious and clear niche in the marketplace, I contacted
Steprider Inc. in the US and spent the next few months working
with Mark Dalton to come to an agreement to have exclusive rights
for their product within the EU. Thus Steplift Ltd. brought the
Steprider Stairclimber to Europe.
To conform to EU regulations,
it was necessary for Bernard to CE mark this equipment. I employed
Vantage Control Ltd to CE Mark the Steprider and to compile a CE
Mark File. The file number is VT-318-1 and can be viewed at Steplift

Since then, Steplift Ltd. has grown to extend the choice of Stairclimbing
Equipment available, having the Irish Distributor rights to both
Escalera and Sano range. We also have the Irish Market Distributing
rights for Magliner and Belet products covering a wide range of
Stairclimbing and Lifting Equipment. |
